Good location with friendly people and great food

Had a most wonderful 2 night stay at Sensui during sakura season. Ryokan location is very central in the middle of town and can walk to all the 7 public onsens easily. The rooms are spacious, the food is of high quality and the service is excellent. Get the half board option as the kaiseki cuisine for dinner is superb. The friendly staff at the ryokan, especially Asuka san who took care of me, made me feel so welcome and taken care of even though I was travelling alone. Loved the modern-traditional mix of the ryokan, and their 2 private baths for free use by guests are so nice. I'm looking forward to return in winter to stay in one of the renovated rooms and for the famous crab season!

The only thing is i wish they provide free shuttle bus service to and from the train station, as it takes some time and effort to walk with the luggage for 500m

Minimalistiskt och modernt boende, rummet var både rymligt, fräscht och vackert. Ganska bra läge i byn. Trevligt med uppbäddningsservicen.

Personal touch and employees especially Asuka. The personnel helped with making calls to book a restaurant. The cultural experience of wearing a yukata and going to the onsens.

Wir haben die Unterkunft gewählt, weil wir einen Aufenthalt in einem Ryokan in einem Zimmer mit japanischer Einrichtung und typisch japanisches Essen erleben wollten. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Zimmer war sehr gross und die Futons bequem. Das Essen übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Alles war von sehr guter Qualität, wunderschön angerichtet und schmeckte hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass Mika uns jeden Gang erklärt hat und einen phantastischen Service geboten hat. Wir bedanken uns, dass Mika unsere Gastgeberin im Restaurant war. Das gesamte Team des Sensui kümmert sich aussergewöhnlich sorgfältig um die Gäste. Die privaten Onsem im Haus sind klein, aber schön gemacht und für 2 Personen perfekt. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist in einer ruhigen Nebenstasse, aber trotzdem zentral, sodass man problemlos zu den Onsen und am Kanal entlang spazieren kann.

Es gibt wirklich nur Kleinigkeiten, die verbessert werden könnten: - das individuelle Bad mit WC und Waschbecken ist gepflegt, aber etwas alt. - Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging leider auf eine Baustelle. Jedoch gab es keinen Baulärm. Wie gesagt: Wirklich nur Kleinigkeiten.

Tolles Ambiente und absolut herzliches und charmantes Personal, persönliche Bedienung, wunderbares Essen, wir kommen wieder! Große Empfehlung! ❤️🧡💛
