Convenient location and free shuttle to/from JR station.

The ryokan has a very traditional feel to it. The baths were nice and they provided all the amenities. The room itself was pretty standard, table, two chairs, two beds, and seperate bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a large variety of foods. The ryokan was located near the center of the tourist area.

The onsen was nice, but a little small and only two types of baths. The whole place is a little old, but they do seem to be slowly updating things.

Friendly staff and good facilities. Dinner was served in private room. Hotel checked in advance on time of arrival and entourage was there to receive us and help to park car when we arrived. Refreshment was also served while checking in. Tourist information and shops are within walking distance.

this is a traditional Japanese hotel. The room size was fabulous. There was a place to put our luggage completely out of the way, and out of sight. The luggage storage was large enough that we could actually have our bags open for access, but still out of sight.

This would be an excellent property with a few exceptions. First, the facilities are quite old and beginning to show wear and tear. The family bath is in dire need of repair. There were no nearby restaurants. Prior to Covid, there were at least 10 restaurants within a 15 minute walk. However, nearly all of those restaurants are now out of business. The remaining restaurants are only open on certain nights of the week. This is not the fault of the hotel. It’s just a fact that makes the location inconvenient, unless you are driving.
