Within the first hour of arriving at the facility, we spotted a cockroach. We did not want to risk staying there and having our luggage infested. So at 9 o’clock at night, we had to find another place to stay. Due to last minute we ended ended up staying at the Sheraton by the train station, which was really quite wonderful though of course more expensive. We tried to discuss this with the caretaker and the landlord. The caretaker was very kind, but the landlord was completely in flexible. We were charged for both nights of stay even though we didn’t stay there for more than an hour. We created a complaint with Booking.com and we are still waiting for the results. I was highly disappointed with this experience.

The place is run by a very nice guy. It is indeed an old house (more than years) and you feel a bit like being back in the Shogun period. One big family room with enough space for six futons.

Only one toilet and one bathroom. Roughly 1km walking distance to the station.

Het appartement ligt gunstig tov het station. De gastheer is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alles was heel netjes. Leuk dat het in een oud, bewaard gebleven wijkje is.

La maison est très jolie et bien décorée. Mention spéciale pour la salle de bain.

Mais elle est particulièrement ancienne et parfois un peu “bricolée”. De plus, pas de couverts (seulement des petites tasses pour le thé), ce qui n’est pas très pratique si on veut prendre son petit déjeuner ou réchauffer quelque chose à manger alors qu il y a un micro ondes et un frigo. Nous avons donc trouvé le rapport qualité-prix pas bon.

Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber der unten eine kleine Bar mit Crêpe Verkauf betreibt. Sehr schönes altes japanisches Haus, von außen etwas ramponiert aber innen ein typisches, traditionelles Haus mit Schlaf (Tatami/Futon) und Wohnbereich im ersten Stock. Sehr sauber, schönes kleines Bad im EG. Wir (Familie 5 Personen) fanden es sehr schön hier!

We loved how well kept is to make it look like a tradicional house. The wooden bath was amazing.
