Shiki Resort Hakone Style

La chambre est très agréable pour passer un bon séjour, et la vue sur le Mont Fuji est extraordinaire. Les bains sont également très beaux.

Malheureusement, nous n'avons été prévenus ni à la réservation, ni à notre arrivée que le restaurant n'accepte personne sans réservation. Toutes les commodités étant fermées tôt aux alentours, nous avons donc dû nous priver de dîner.

The rooms we had were wonderful and had so much space! The futon beds were super comfortable and probably the best things I've ever slept on lol. And the Onsen downstairs was lovely as well, I didn't think I'd be allowed as I have some tattoos but the staff said it was perfectly ok!

It's a bit far away from everything around, which was a bit easier for us as we rented a car but i imagine it would be difficult otherwise. We also didn't know that breakfast was set for everyone so we unfortunatley had to cancel as my sister and I don't eat fish.

It protected us from the cold and the onsen was great.

The room smelt of mildew and was not vacuumed within recent time. This included the futons. As others have stated it was not clear that if you did not book a dinner or breakfast plan you were stuck with no food especially without a car to go and pick some up. The one vending machine sold basic drinks which saw us through the night along with some travel snacks we were lucky to have on hand which barely fed a family of 5.

The best part is the view from your room. Futons are very comfortable. Room and bath are clean. Make sure you book dinner in advance unless you are driving. Staff is limited but very responsive and welcoming.

They alternate man and woman baths so you can go to the outside bath either in the eve or in the morning. If you want to use bus that is included in your Hakone pass you have to walk on unpaved path up the mountain for 15-20 min.
