Higashiyama Park Hotel Shinfugetsu

The room is clean and tidy. It is a sufficient for 3 of us. We had good time resting and watching TV in the room after dinner. As we travel by car, so the location is basically not a problem. There is onsen so we don't have to fight for the bathroom. The onsen is superb as well! Very comfortable and cozy after taking a hot bath! Probably only in the morning when we do our make-up, we might need to use the mirror a bit but with the large window and sunlight we are still able to complete the morning routine in the room. What we love the most is the FREE karaoke!!! We had a good time there! By the way, the amenities are fully equipped. There are makeup remover, face wash, cotton, moisturiser in the public onsen (women). Very convenient!

Without the car, it will be very difficult to get there.

Missing laundry service

Not the cleanest, missing globe in bathroom lighting fixture, food was mediocre at best. Place is run down. Baths were ok.

Everything. Place needs a complete makeover.

The staff were very sweet and helpful

The room was not clean at all. I had black socks that got a lot of dust after 20 minutes in the room. Another thing is that it took about 20 minutes by a taxi to the hotel from Aizu Wakamatsu train station. We wish they had a shuttle bus.

Beautiful mountain scenery, fantastic staff, great bath facilities

The room was very large compare to the cost I paid. There is all I needed in the room; but some items we need to pick up from the front counter such as ropes, shower cap or other toiletries.

There is no ramp for big luggages, you need to hold them up and down the front stairs.
