Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan

We stayed at this ryokan and were delighted by our stay.The amazing owner took such delight in showing us to our room and explaining how everything worked. He truly is very proud of his inn. We arrived early and put our luggage in the lockers to the left of entrance. We enjoyed the onsen early morning and evening. Very close to bus stops and train station, in a mountainous area.It was lovely travelling by bus and train through the mountains.

I booked this hotel in April, for our stay in November. Just my husband and I for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I received confirmation from the establishment, and I paid for our stay. 2 hours before check in, while on our way to Hakone from Osaka, I received an email that our stay was cancelled. No further communication and no options given by the owner. No way to contact them. We were stranded and had to book another hotel last minute while standing in front of Odawara Castle. The absolute worst part of our trip (actually the only negative part of our entire 2 week trip in Japan). I do not recommend taking the risk of booking this location. We ended up staying at Blisstia which appears to be much nicer according to the pictures of this place anyway.

I booked here because of the reviews I had read and all of them were accurate. The owner is so sweet and knowledgable about the area and provided so many great reccomendations. I love the location, and I will absolutely be coming back. The Private Osen with the mineral waters was so relaxing. I love that they have lockers for your things so you can easily come before check in leave your large items and enjoy your day. Hakone is a very beautful area, and the small and quaint area this place is located in was lovely.

Very traditional accommodation option. The onsen (private and limited to two people) was very greatly appreciated. It allowed us to experience the onsen way of bathing without the concerns of communal bathing. The innkeeper was terrific.

As it is traditional inn with shared bathing/toileting experiences, this was a bit confronting initially.

L'établissement est bien situé dans les hauteurs de Hakone, juste à côté de plusieurs arrêts de bus qui desservent Odawara et le lac Ashi. Il y a des konbinis dans la rue et de très bons restaurants. Le gérant de l'établissement est très accueillant et nous a donné plein d'informations sur les lieux à visiter et où manger. La chambre est vraiment typique et confortable, nous avons bien dormi. Le onsen est 100% naturel sans produits chimique, les hommes et les femmes sont séparés mais vous serez seul à l'utiliser. C'est une belle expérience d'un ryokan au Japon et la région de Hakone vaut la peine d'y passer une nuit, pour la belle vue du Mont Fuji ! Je vous conseille de ne pas venir avec de gros bagages, pas pratique avec les bus, et pour ne pas être embêté avec les horaires de check in. Nous avions expédié les valises au prochain hôtel et un sac à dos suffit pour une nuit.

Rien tout s'est bien passé.

Sehr freundlicher Host, nur das Englisch ist ausbaufähig;-) Tolles Ryokan mit eigenem Onsen, wirklich alles top. Gerne wieder.

The owner was so kind and gave many recommendations for food and how to best explore the area. The onsen was lovely and felt amazing after a full day of walking around.
