Such a beautiful space. Very high end food. Great rooms.

For the price there were a few amenities that would have been nicer. Nicer coffee. Maybe a shuttle to the space.

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were great - exceptional food prepared and the menus were different for both nights that we were there. The in-room onsen was a great addition to the trip with a lot of privacy. The room size was huge and the amenities were all self-service at each level. There were also free snacks, ice cream, water, and coffee located at the floor we were staying. Staff was really nice and helpful - truly an exceptional experience at Matsumoto!

Parking for the hotel is located at a separate location. However, the staff kindly drove the car over after we unloaded our luggage at the main reception. Room was slightly dim. The establishment is small; view from the hotel was the entrance of the hotel.

My second trip in the last year. And I’ll be back again next year. Great helpful staff, wonderful setting. I love all of the book. And especially the care of presenting local food with great expectations of what you are eating. By the way their Macha donuts at their bakery are wonderful. I also took home a few bags of their special granola. Wish I’d brought more. I’ve been to Japan well over 20 times I highly recommend this lodging.

There wasn’t anything not to like.

食事は質、量ともに良好。 和食材のフレンチ風創作料理でとても美味しかった。 普段多忙で読書の機会が無かったが、改めて読書の楽しみを思い出させてもらった。 部屋が広く、温泉の広めの内風呂があり、最高。

WIFIの速度がやや遅かった。

The property was excellent. The staff were amazing, friendly and very accommodating. The service was exemplary. The dinner was incredible and delicious. Loved the library and the books throughout the property. Loved the private onsen in our room. A calm, relaxing experience. We highly recommend.

Everything was fantastic.
