"One of the highlights of our trip!"

We were genuinely impressed by the service. The hotel had a fantastic location, and the rooms were beautiful! I could probably write a whole essay about how much I enjoyed our stay, but I don’t think anyone would actually read all of that. 🤣

Un vrai plaisir de séjourner dans une maison traditionnelle au coeur de Kyoto, parfaitement rénovée avec les équipements les plus modernes. Nous avons été exceptionnellement bien accueillis par un personnel chaleureux. Un havre de tranquillité au coeur de la ville et à proximité de certains des hauts lieux touristiques de Kyoto.

The staff was incredible; we loved seeing them each day & looked forward to breakfast each morning. It was also amazing staying in an old machiya — a traditional wooden home. This gave us the ryokan experience we wanted at least once on our trip to Japan.

"In één woord geweldig"

Ouderwetse ryokan, maar dan wel met een westers matras voor de nachtrust, supervriendelijk personeel die ook nog eens goed Engels konden spreken (komt niet zo vaak voor in Japan), en de ligging in de nabijheid van een metrostation is een bonus. Pontocho en Gion ook op loopafstand. Kortom geweldig.

"Tradionally Japanease hospitality and riokan"

For the two days we stayed there, it felt less like a hotel and more like we were visiting a close friend; it was so relaxed and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Only one bed was exceptionally soft, which was a bit unusual for us. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

"The BEST stay in Japan: tradition, luxury, culture & friendliness"

They were amazing!!! The whole place is gorgeous, very Japanese traditional, showcasing the culture and adding to the stay experience. All the details they added added to the luxury. Staff was absolutely amazing, took care of everything, went above & beyond to help us with booking events, reservations, helping with translation for taxi and just being super friendly and helpful.
