Auberge AZABU

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing and completely different from other hotels. From our arrival, when Anna provided us with all the information and took care of us throughout our stay. Breakfast made to order, peaceful and harmonious Japanese style environment. The hotel is located in a quiet street, a minute from a non-stop supermarket. A few minutes drive from the train station. There was nothing to dislike, just our short time.

A beautiful hidden ryokan in Kyoto. Such a delightful room with traditional (and very comfy) beds. The staff were so kind and always happy. The hotel also has an amazing breakfast. Super close to a station but walkable to Gion and nishiki market area. There’s only five rooms which keeps it quiet so make sure you book!

Staff were amazing, helpful and spoke English. Breakfast was home cooked and divine. Location was a couple of minutes walk to train station.

Anna gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants near by and did the reservation for us without asking it! Very cozy place and feel like being host by a friend. Super

Nothing at all

The welcome by the staff was very nice. The Ryokan was typical for Kyoto. Small but very clean and as it was our honeymoon they put some flowers in the room and we recieved a nice card and a voucher for a free glass of wine, what was much appreciated.

El personal es encantador. Dispuestos a ayudar y con una sonrisa. Es una machiya muy mona. Hay que descalzarse al entrar, aunque te ofrecen unas zapatillas para andar por dentro. Tiene toda la gracia. Todo muy cuidado. Amenities, pijamitas, toallas…El desayuno muy delicado y rico, con una vajilla ideal. No está mal situado, es una zona tranquila y segura, pero Kyoto es una ciudad en horizontal, y las cosas que hay que visitar están muy lejos unas de otras, por lo que no se me ocurre cuál es en realidad el mejor sitio para alojarse

La habitación no es muy grande. Lo peor el cuarto de baño, que no tiene puerta, tampoco en la zona de retrete, donde hay un tabique móvil que desplazas hasta el mueble del lavabo, pero que ni siquiera llega a la pared de enfrente, por lo que no cierra del todo… muy poca intimidad en ese sentido
