Hotel Shirakawa Yunokura

I would like to start with gratitude towards the hotel crew. It was a super rainy day when we arrived at Kinugawa Station and there was no taxi at all. Since the windows of check-in were drawing close, we contacted the hotel to ask if they could arrange a taxi for us. However, shortly after, they notified us that they also couldn't find an available taxi in the area, and they were so kind as to come and pick us up at the station with their own car. The moment we arrived, we met possibly one of the kindest staff member with the biggest smile. This elderly gentleman explained everything about our stay and made us feel like we're in the right hands for our two-night stay. Shortly after our check-in, we headed down for dinner. All guests sit in separate rooms with their own service. On both nights, and for the breakfasts, we came to the same place for a tasty and varied kaiseki meal. The service and food were really nice! The onsen, while it does not have the best views, was really relaxing. The massage chairs right outside the onsen were a great extra. The tatami beds were really comfortable for both of us, and the kotatsu in the room allowed us to decompress with complimentary ice cream. Overall, we're very happy with our stay. The hotel is indeed, as others mentioned, a little bit old, but has its charm. Everything worked in our room, the crew was awesome, and the food was great.

温泉がとても良かったです。夜中もずっと空いていたのが良かったです。誕生日のプレゼントもありがたかったし、スタッフの方が英語対応をしてくださったのも大変助かりました。

Feels like stepping back in time. The hotel is located along the river in and amongst some of the old abandoned hotels in the area. Amazing location on the river bank, the meals were great and the staff were fantastic.

Whilst the rooms were very warm and cosy, the hallways and communal areas were quite chilly.

The stuff was lovely!! We included traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast, and it was a great experience.

It is an old hotel and it has not been renovated for many years. A lot of the room facilities were old; we stayed one night and it was fine.

Le repas est exceptionnel l’accueil est top un personnel au petit soin ça fait plaisir un onsen privé vraiment top un vrai régale !

Il fait un petit peu chaud dans les étages mais heureusement qu’il y a la climatisation dans les chambres

La habitación, el onsen, la comida tradicional, el personal... 😍

La única pega es que está un poco lejos de los transportes, pero tienen un autobús lanzadera si lo solicitad
