Your family camp

Really amazing experience. Some of the best food we had all trip! Make sure to ask about the transfer cost to camp because from what I understand, it’s not always included! Maybe depends on time of yr and when you book.

WiFi only worked in the restaurant (and barely at that). Hot water was a little iffy / took awhile to turn on! Very little water pressure too, but can’t complain too much because we were in the desert!

On the plus side, the tents were large and included running water (toilet/sink/shower), which were uber-luxurious in the desert. Also: breakfast and dinner were provided, since there's nowhere one can go without a camel or a 4x4. The staff were the undisputed highlight: incredibly well-mannered, joyful, helpful and welcoming. I can't stress enough how this made the experience special. With that said, see the caveats below.

The room stank like hell, not from prior guests but from the fact that they're made of plastic and spend their lives baking (and offgassing) from the sun. If you have a sensitive nose, it's overwhelming. Operationally, the toilet didn't flush, so we used water bottles to manually fill the tank every time we needed to go. Furthermore, the paper-thin tents mean that you cannot sleep until everyone nods off, since singing/dancing/chatting extend well into the night. Bring earplugs! Moreover, the wifi is exactly that, only in name. No real connection. (A plus, for some.) And finally, breakfast consisted of plastic-wrapped industrial food products. NB: we chose to stay 2 days, thinking it'd be great to stay while the overnight tourists left (most stay for just one night). By morning, we understood why. There's nothing to do, and one isn't allowed to stay on property due to overwhelming heat. So, one is made to wander town (if one has a car) or stay at the half-built "hotel" near the highway—which has no food, drink (except water one can buy), services or A/C, and a "pool" the size of a car that was as exciting as a root canal. With that said, by day 2 in the 110-degree swelter, we jumped in and were thankful if existed at all.

The experience was way over our expectation. The bed was extremely comfortable and the tent was quiet: we had the best sleep during our almost three weeks' travel in Morroco. Breakfast and dinner were both pleasant, plenty and well served. The staff was extremely attentive, with good manners. The ride by an SUV out of the desert was a bonus, full of fun and excitement.

Hassan's team is very competent and extremely kind. the two nights on the desert are unforgetable. we have experienced all what we would like to enjoy. the organized local music and dance evenings have been pefect. the events were planned and executed by Hassan to our fullest satisfaction. In addtion Yassin has taken care of us day and night and let us feel safe and at home.

The tents are well equipped, clean, hot water and electricity ( in the middle of the desert ). The location of the camp is behind the dunes so I advice to just go for long walks in the desert and please wake up and see the sunrise, it’s magical. The staff they will go the extra mile for you and they even surprised me with a birthday cake 🎂. even now I don’t know from where and how they did it 😅. PS: December, January, February is really cold, so take with you really warm clothes ( same as you will go skiing. ( 0 degrees Celsius in the morning ) and go with an open mind, don’t expect Dubai Luxury or Hilton Hotel. Value for the money is well balanced !

As we arrived, the camp looked a bit “ghostly” until the lights went on and the atmosphere changed. they could improve a little the first encounter with the camp as everything else afterwards it’s good.

the host Hassan was fantastic and always available to organise anything you need , he has fantastic tours, knows everyone in the area and has a great team behind him, rooms were clean and luxury, always hot water, quiet and calm at night, we did camel rides and sunrise , quads and jeep tour with Hassan and all were great. meals were tasty and great tagine of beef and chicken, beautiful camp and nighttime fires and star watching .

Experience with renting quads; we paid 700mad for two persons sharing one quad, while the rate stated 400mad/quad.
