"Perfect place to stay in the Center of Imlil"

10.0

I spent two nights here before and after my hiking activity at the Toukbal mountain. This is a great place to be in the Center of Imlil. I have been welcome since the very beginning and I always had the feeling to be part of the family. The rise is an historical house made with local stone. Clean and safe. Perfect if you are looking to get to the Refuge Les Mouflons. I strongly recommend this Road. I will be back to Riad Imlil!! Just a quick note on Imlil: get cash at the airport because no ATM and no credit card accepted in Imlil so far. Edoardo

"Our best Riad stay in Morocco "

10.0

Of all the places we stayed during our stay in this wonderful country, imlil will remain front and foremost. It’s a charming hillside village, and Dar Imlil sits right in the middle. We opted for a deluxe room on the second floor with two balconies overlooking the stunning mountainscape and valley below. We ate both nights in the hotel, and the food was excellent. Special thanks to Hussain, who was attentive, charming and very helpful. We found we had a flat tyre whilst preparing to move onto essaouira, managed to get the spare out it too was flat. The nearest garage was a 40 minute drive away. Hussain, found someone to drive both our tyres to the village then replaced them on our car on their return. He didn’t need to do this, but it is a mark of the people we encountered during this trip, that they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and sort out problems. Honestly I found their manner and help really quite humbling! Hussain also arranged for us to have a guide (Omar) who took us on an unforgettable trip around the Berber villages up to a height of around 2000 metres. He included the high and low waterfalls and we finished up at Kasbah de Toukbal for a (very expensive) cup of tea ( not Omar’s fault).he was an excellent guide, good humoured, insightful and immediately put us at ease. I cannot recommend Dar Imlil highly enough. It was a lovely garden and swimming pool, unbelievably large and well furnished rooms…and best of all absolutely lovely staff. Thank you Hussain and your fabulous team.

"Great place for hiking"

8.0

What spectacular views from anywhere in the Riad. Lovely to hear the waterfall through the night. The staff was very kind and generous, they would do anything to make sure your stay is a great one. The food was basic Moroccan but delicious and hearty. It is the perfect place to begin hiking in these spectacular mountains.

"Can’t recommend highly enough!"

10.0

We loved our stay here! Rooms were huge (and had underfloor heating), food was delicious, and can’t say enough about how well we were treated by staff - made to feel like guests rather than customers.

"Riad dar Imlil was Amazing!!!!"

10.0

We thoroughly loved our stay here. Breakfast was plentiful in the cosy colorful dining spaces both indoors and outside. Staff were exceptionale and customer service was 6 star. We loved their sense of humor and attention to every detail. As a result, we are bringing our tour group here next year. The views are stunning and it was a magical place. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay do add special.

"Great Riad with stunning views"

10.0

Riad Imlill is a large Riad in the heart of Imlil. The Riad is family run, and the hosts treat you like family. The service is exceptional, and the hosts even took me to dinner during my stay. There are three large terraces with each with beautiful views of the Atlas mountains. The room I stayed in was large and very clean, with a huge bathroom. Incredible value for money. And their Moroccan Mint tea is delicious. I would recommend Riad Imlil to all my friends, and another huge thank you to Hassan and his family!

"the castle of Imlil"

8.0

The room was simple but tidy. The place was quite empty so it had an interesting feeling to be in the building, everyone was very friendly and they helped us prepare the travel to ascend Mt. Jebel Toubkal. I recommend the place for a short stay if you are there for mountain action!

"Lovely village, terrible hotel"

2.0

We were lucky to get a room with a window, nevertheless we recommend to AVOID this place! The room was cold (even though we went there in July), the blankets smelly. After asking for it three times at the reception, we still didn`t have warm water, so after a long day of hiking, and returning to our cold room, we had to take an even colder shower. Moreover, we didn`t reveive wifi in our room. On top of all of that, when we woke up in the morning, we had to search for someone to make breakfast (which is supposed to be included in the price). The village itself is lovely, the landscape absolutely splendid, but stay at a different place!

"Memorable Stay!"

8.0

We visit Imlil every year with the University of Brighton. I visited the Riad last March, in which we experienced heavy snowfall, we lost electricity, it was on the colder side and it was dark (a riad is characterised that way, just to inform other reviewers).. It was perfect, this isn't Marrakesh! You experience life like the locals and it really is amazing! The staff were friendly, very accommodating and provided great food and entertainment. We enjoyed a snowball fight in the morning with the local store owners and hotel staff! I would recommend this place highly, but in the mountains expect to rough it a little..

""Extremly bad""

2.0

A very dark and very cold place. Small rooms and very small toilet/shower. No hot water. Very small and dark room. We had to ask for towels, toiletpaper etc. Noboddy in the reception (no light in the reception) - you have to walk around or out the riad to find staff. The staff was 3 persons less than 18 years - they had no idea about service. Asked for breakfast at 8.30. At 8.30 there was nothing in the restaurant and we had to wake up one to get breakfast. The food was very poor and of very bad quality. Only one good thing to say - great wiew from the roof. Will never get back there. Keep away from this Riad.
