Golden West Motel

Very friendly owner who made sure I didn't need anything and that everything was to my satisfaction. The room was very clean. There were nice features that I didn't expect, like fresh ground coffee, remote control sealed in plastic so wasn't dirty or gross, removable shower head, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, tissues and towels with fancy folds. There were also lots of outlets so had no problem being able to plug in all my devices.

The building is old so the rooms were pretty small but not much else they can do without demolishing and rebuilding. Larger TV screen would have been nice and mounted on the wall.

The room and property were very clean. The staff was super friendly. It was away from the street and very quiet.

The room was immaculately clean. The beds were perfectly comfortable.

The heat came from a noisy forced-air heater that cycled on and off and woke us up each time it came on. The location was far from downtown, on a road out of town full of auto-related service centers and the like. It felt more remote than we would have preferred. Some guys were smoking meat in the back of their pickup truck in the parking lot and stared at us when we passed.

Very nice owner & wife were very helpful. Room was clean with pretty quilts & nice shampoo.

We had a great overnight stay at the Golden West Motel. Very good value, the location was convenient and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The service was excellent also. The very friendly and helpful husband and wife team gave us some great local tips.
