Golden West Motel

I like being in the end unit. The walls were a bit thin, but the neighbor didn't make any noise, so it was excellent. The work group that stayed next to me were respectful and quiet and left very early.

The owner should have known which restaurants were good and which ones were bad. I tried a bad one. You need to investigate and not have your guest find out the hard way. I can't remember the place, but it was a steak house with no one in the parking lot. Maybe that should have been a dead give away. Oh well.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior--- in addition to being an amazing value, Golden West is the cleanest, most comfortable place we have stayed on the road in a long time. The charming decor and fresh paint show pride of ownership. Unexpected touches like plush towels, plenty of hangers, bright bedside lighting, and a real (small) coffee maker helped us feel right at home. There's a small table and chairs, mini fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows and good quality cotton sheets. It's far enough off the busy road to be quiet.

It's a bit difficult to turn out onto the road from the parking lot.

I liked that it was very clean. It is an older motel. It shows its age , but well maintained.

Air conditioning couldn’t keep the room cool and was very loud.

Comfortable beds, clean, clean carpets and in general very clean and presentable. It is a simple place but it is very nice and comfortable.

Outstanding welcoming owners. Every need taken care of and though dated, the rooms were comfortable and spotless. The beautiful lawn area is shared and was a place where I could throw the ball for the dog.

It was a little dark in our room. Would suggest a few more lighting options.

The owner is an angel. The room was quaint comfortable and very clean. Great place to stay.

Had to drive to the restaurants we wanted instead of walking.
