Golden West Motel

Loved our stay. The room was spotlessly clean. I loved the quilts on the bed and the decor was not chosen out of a hotels-r-us catalog. Someone wrote it was like staying in someone's home - I would say cabin. Our dog was quite at home and there was a large area to walk in. Our only issue was finding the office - turn at the sign and go all the way to the rear of the property.

good coffee, room was temperature controlled when I arrived, no waiting for the ac/heat to do its thing. really clean, nice operator, no odd smelling office

water in shower could be a little hotter

Simply put, the couple running the place care. From the friendly greeting upon arrival to very good WiFi. A refreshing change from larger chain hotels. And my goodness, an actual hot shower for a change!

Try not to arrive at rush hour - 5pm -6pm - any other time is easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

Vintage western American motel with updated amenities. Small room, but very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, and the book library was a plus!
