Baseball Town Motel

The manager went out of his way to meet us for a late check in and apologized that he didn’t have a larger room available for us. The hotel is very close to everything in Cooperstown. Our room was clean and would have been a good place for just an overnight visit or if traveling alone.

The room was clean but small; especially the bathroom. The beds were uncomfortable, more like queen sized cots. Very noisy…you could hear everything in the room overhead and next door. The room we stayed in was definitely not worth what we paid.

Small suggestions. 1. Hooks to hang items in bathroom. 2. Reading light next to bed.

Easy access to baseball hall of fame and restaurants. Parking was also provided.

Everything was great, I don’t have anything negative to say.

The location was the only thing about this overpriced hotel that was good. It is right next door to the Baseball Hall of Fame. This was my main reason for booking this place. Close proximity to everything.

Where do I start.....There is no reception desk, you need to go up to the counter in the store on the first floor and they hand you a key and tell you if there are any problems to text. Then you hoof it up the stairs, either the fire escape in the rear or the extremely steep stairs in the front. We entered the room and were flabbergasted by it, but tried to see the brighter side, after all we were in Cooperstown. Upon further investigation our disappointment grew exponentially. Although clean, the room and the hotel had an underlying old smell. The rooms are horribly small with just enough room for the bed, a bureau and a TV. Zero ambiance for a touristy baseball town hotel. The beds were in need of replacement 10 years ago, the bathroom is so narrow that my 6'3" frame had a very difficult time bending at the sink to wash. Forget about trying to use the toilet, my knees are still bruised. There were no amenities to speak of with the exception of the shampoo container and the empty body wash. They cut corners on every aspect from terrible toilet paper, to no tissues, to a cold and dank room. The room was smaller than most of the cruise ships I have been on. I spent well over $500 for 2 night and expected something much better than a run of the mill motel room masquerading as a hotel room.

The staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and went 'way above and beyond to accommodate us with extra towels, pillows, etc. The location could not be better!

Excellent location right in center of town. Ainsley was extremely accommodating and helpful. Rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend!

A great location and had a great view. We walked everywhere.

First day had problems with the heat but the guy fixed it right away.
