Loud neighbors. Rooms need repair

Beds were great - very comfortable memory foam-type mattresses. While there was no breakfast provided, we found a good place to eat not far from the property in the historic district. Unit was very clean with good-tasting water straight from the tap. We traveled with our small dog, so we appreciated the safe neighborhood and grassy park where we took our walks.

Our only complaint was the overwhelming chemical smell of either cleaning solutions or air freshener used in the room. We had to turn the heat on to try to dissipate the fumes, as well as leave the door open for a while to air out the room. While we may be more sensitive than the average traveler to synthetic odors, there is not only the annoyance of strong, unnatural smells, but also a potential health risk associated with these types of fumes that should be of concern to all travelers.

Microwave and fridge provided (had a great freezer section)

Could use more light and towel bars/hooks.

old, but comfortable and safe. Wife complained the bed was hard

Extras... popcorn in the room; Keurig coffee maker; comfortable bed

Facility and furniture are old and need updating
