Hotel Portlight

Used the hotel as an affordable 1 night stop over on way to LAX. A nice one level motel, clean and tidy with microwave and fridge in room. Comfortable bed and hot shower. This motel was better than expected for the price.

The motel is in an industrial area by the busy port and the lorries thunder past all day and all night long but this is reflected in the price. If you are generally easy going and don't mind earplugs this is a very good choice if on a budget.

My rating is based on the over the top customer service.

out of way locale ...good for trucker or dock workers but not for anyone else .rooms very nice and modern .and clean .

Location was close to my early am destination. Most affordable room in the entire area, great value. Good water pressure.

Numerous potholes in adjacent street cause noise when semi trucks pass by. Some expected amenities missing like toilet paper role holder, towel bars, nightstand lamp so you don't have to get out of bed to turn light on / off, no outlet by the bed for charging devices.
