Agate Beach Motel

We had a wonderful recent stay here! We booked for one night and it was the highlight of our trip down the coast. There is an old school meets new school vibe and the location is absolutely perfect. The woman in the office is the sweetest person and walked us over to our unit and showed us how everything worked. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in the motel! The unit was spotless and cozy with AMAZING views of the ocean. We parked our car right next to the door. The unit had everything we needed, a super comfy bed, and the local coffee was a huge bonus! There is access to the beach from the property, so you are on the sand after a quick walk down. We loved having a deck to sit on and take in the views. You had basically the same view from the living room so you can still enjoy it when it is rainy. There is a fire pit that everyone there can enjoy at the end of the day. We took advantage of it and it was super relaxing. The word thoughtful kept coming to mind as we stayed there and still as we recount the trip, from the check in process to the York peppermint patties on the bedside table. We would absolutely stay here again and cannot recommend it highly enough! And if you do stay here, you should definitely get takeout from Sharks Seafood bar and Steamer and enjoy it at your dining table while looking out at the ocean.

The views here are fantastic. We did not make the long downhill trek to the beach and it was very foggy the day we arrived so we could not see the beach, but when we got up the next morning we could sit on the deck and take in the amazing views. The lady in the office that checked us in was very friendly. We loved visiting the lighthouse that was near the hotel.

This motel is a gem. The rooms are very nice and right next to the ocean. Staff was very kind. the room we were able to get housed three people with space to spare. A nice touch was coffee in the room.

Fantastic view. The location is great for heading to the beach or running into town.

For a facility on a chilly coast the heater in the room was not the best.

The rooms are the cleanest, the beds are so comfortable, and I love reading on the deck overly looking the most beautiful view of the ocean!!! The units have absolutely everything you need great kitchen, fully stocked with all utensils! And comes stocked with fresh locally brewed coffee!
