Agate Beach Motel

We stayed three nights at the end of December and beginning of January to bring in the new year. This was our third stay at Agate Beach Motel. The unit was clean, comfortable, one level, has a kitchen, has an outstanding ocean view, has beach access, and is walking distance to Yaquina Head. We look forward to staying again in the future.

The location is unbeatable especially if you will be surfing at Agate Beach! You can check the waves every morning and walk to the beach in minutes. The motel itself is well done and clean. Love this spot!

Bed seemed old, mattress was too soft on my side, no vent in the kitchen and kitchen window wouldn’t stay open so we had to prop it open

Great location. You can see the ocean from your front porch. Easy access to the beach.

I felt that the decor was very out of date. Also the bed was way too soft…made needs replaced. Pillows were like ballon’s. The furniture was old. The only heat in the room was from an electric fireplace and this little heater by the front door.

This is hands down our favorite place to stay in the Newport area. Couples weekend, family weekend, any weekend! The staff are amazing. Beds are super comfy and the vibe is just charming. The view of the ocean is amazing too. And you can’t beat it for a lazy, rainy weekend at the coast. Also, a huge bonus is that Sharks is right across the street. Always up to the gills with the latest, freshest catch.

We love this motel. The fire pit is great to enjoy, it's pet-friendly and the kitchen and bathrooms are always immaculately cleaned. We enjoy spending long weekends here with our family, with easy access down to the beach and also enjoying the view from the motel.

Clean, comfortable lodging with full kitchen, microwave, coffee pot and free wifi. Living room with TV and couch. Outside deck off living room with view of beach and sunset. Very close to beach. Large lawn for kids to play. Outside hose to wash off sand. Close to Yaquina Head Nature Preserve and tidepols.

Proximity to the ocean and view. Great hike to the beach. Paula, the manager, was an absolute sweetheart and made the visit so much more enjoyable!
