Agate Beach Motel

Beautifully renovated rooms in a cool retro motel. We stayed in a yaquina suite and we loved having a carport to park our motorcycle in. The views are spectacular! The lady at the front desk was very friendly and she showed us around our suite. Such a nice touch! We plan on coming back!

This is our third stay (they discount for returning visitors). Unit #1 is the only pet-free unit (and we love that it doesn’t share a wall) but the pet-friendly rooms are also fine. No doggy smell!! It’s an old motor inn and still has a retro feel. They’ve done a great job updating it without ruining the character. The kitchen has everything we need for eating in as well as a full-size coffee maker (required!). It’s a quaint property and we will always return. And the ocean view is fabulous!

BBQ broke the day before we arrived and we brought foods, intending to use it. The bed was a little soft for my preference.

The place was nice and had a great view . It was dog friendly and the manager was very nice and helpful.

It was a long downhill hike to the beach and a tough uphill hike back. The refrigerator was really noisy.

Amazing location, right above Agate Beach and not far from downtown Newport. Exceptionally clean rooms, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Lovely grounds, with fire pit. Very quiet. Pet friendly.
