Buckhorn Resort

It was nice! They had a nice bar and restaurant, the scenery was quite pleasant, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The biggest turn off was no air-conditioning. It was HOT at night. It could also use a modern update. It’s very 80’s.

Reserved because nothing was available in Munising. On site restaurant was great. Staff very friendly.

TV was horrible. But spent little time in room, so not big issue. Room was smaller than expected, challenging for 4 people. Room smelled musty.

Location was fine, in the woods

The motel didn’t have air conditioning!! The weather was mid to high 80’s. We couldn’t sleep it was very warm even with the fans they let us use, so thankful for the fans they gave us. The first room they gave us had a huge stain on the carpet, we to worried about it, then the toilet leaked. They gave us the option of the room next door or a refund, which I thought was nice. We choose to move to the next room and took the fans with us, we weren’t sure we could find another hotel. We ended up leaving a day early, we survived. Staff was nice, I just found it weird that not one person said sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Booking.com definitely should have made it clear that this is a no A/C motel, that’s pretty huge especially when it’s a no refund hotel

An air conditioner would have been great.

A peaceful setting in a beautiful place. So nice to have a place in an area like this to relax and enjoy a good meal after a day of riding and not deal with with being in town

Room was very clean, food was excellent, wait staff very pleasant.

The carpet was dirty, my feet were black from walking in room, needs cleaning. Also Bar staff on first night was more focused on regular customer's, hard place to get another drink. Couldn't get TV to work in room.

The mattresses were comfortable. The room was clean. I loved the location, it was beautiful and quiet. The restaurant was very nice and it was conveniently close. The outdoor grounds were very well kept..

The night time temps were in the low 70's and there is no air conditioning and the rooms were hot at night!! I do not recommend going in the summer months unless you sleep well on a hot summer night without air conditioning. Otherwise, I loved our stay. The last time we were in Munising daytime temps were in the 90's, so it was even warmer, but we had air conditioning last time. Choices seem to be lots of people and air conditioning or almost no people and no air conditioning.
