UniCharm Cruise

Brilliant cruise.. Beautiful boat. Smaller than most so a bit more chance to feel you have the bay to yourself. Lots of activities and an expectation to join them all but we really enjoyed that. Tiger was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and made things great fun. Would definitely recommend.

Bit pricey but comparable with other cruise options.

The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the boat. The activities offered were perfect for this type of stay, and Binh was fantastic with the whole group. Very kind, knowledgeable and keen to share with all of us.

This was the most amazing experience in our trip to Vietnam and booking Unicarm cruise was the best decision we made. Ha Long Bay is a magical place, however, its popularity brings too namy boats and too many tourists. Unicharm cruise takes you to Lan Ha Bay - equally spectacular but much more quiet place - we only had one other boat nearby. The carefully selected itinenary allows you to enjoy the beauty of Lan Ha Bay undisturbed and in a relaxed manner. We enhoyed 2 hours of kayaking in a beautiful secluded location. The next morning we were taken to Cat Ba island for a bike ride - again, we we able to enjoy the beauty of the island without any other tourists. I should give credit to our guide, Binh, for his organisation skills. He was a pleasure to interact with, very helpful and knowledgable - providing enough information to give context without being overwhelming. I do appreciate his help with kayaking. The boat provided everything you need without excess luxury. The cabins were spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable. It was magical to swim near the boat at sunset and to watch the sunrise at the upper deck. The food was exeptionally tasty, made from fresh ingredients and of good variety. They also catered for a number dietary requirements. The vegetarian food was perfect. We made some spring rolls at a cooking class and also watched how the famous egg coffee was made. Everybody from the staff was friendly and helpful. I reccommend this cruise to everybody who would like to experience the beauty of Halong bay without the burden of overtourism. We did two days, one night, if you have time do a longer cruise!

The payment info at booking.com was confusing. It says that a bank transfer will be needed (this almost detered us from booking!) while in reality it was a simple credit card payment.

Authentic Vietnam experience, small group, went Lan Ha Bay which was tranquil compared to Ha Long Bay. Staff onboard and our guide Quan were incredible. Food was amazing. Whole family loved the activities. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Piacevole crociera che si inoltra più in là rispetto ad altre imbarcazioni, il che permette di godere di un panorama migliore e più “intimo”. La barca è carina, la stanza molto bella (abbiamo avuto l’opzione senza balcone ma la vista era ugualmente mozzafiato). Lo staff era molto accogliente e la nostra guida, Victor, fantastica! Le attività proposte sono state molto carine, i ritmi sono abbastanza alti facendo 2 giorni e una notte, ma comunque godibili e fattibili. Consiglio a chi vuole godere di una delle 7 meraviglie nel mondo nella calma e tranquillità, senza troppe aspettative. La cucina era in linea con le proposte del paese, qualità nella media e scelta buona. Grazie ancora allo staff e alla guida per la loro disponibilità!

Purtroppo, come quasi tutte le strutture hotel etc in Vietnam, si iniziano a vedere i segni degli anni che passano, infatti si nota l’usura e l’età della barca (potrebbe essere mantenuta meglio).
