Halong Fantasea Cruise

Very hospitable staff who go out of their way to make the stay comfortable for the guests. Really liked it!

The boats are amongst the smaller of cruise lines serving Ha Long bay, however the level of service is at least equal to lines charging twice the price. The itinerys are similar for all cruise lines. Rooms are well appointed, spacious and all ensuite. Food is the highlight, plentiful and of very good quality. Staff are genuinely friendly, although this seems to be the case with all cruise lines who will team up when numbers are low and share excursions. The bay itself is spectacular and although it can be seen on a one night trip really needs two nights to fully appreciate.

Scenery and the comfort of a classic wood ship and the small group size. Hotel pick and drop off and a bottle of water each way.

Only 1 small bottle of water per person for our 3 day 2 night cruise. Most drinks were an extra cost except for breakfast coffee and one lunch with a watermelon drink. Poor description of daily activities and repetition of previous excursions on the last day.

We enjoyed everything, comfy bed, good food, friendly and helpful staff.

Family style meals seemed to waste a lot of food =(

This cruise far exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful value for money and we had some incredible experiences. Our host for the cruise, Huu, was enthusiastic and thorough, making us feel hugely welcome and valued during our time on the boat. Nothing was ever an issue. The crew even made our cruise a bit extra special with it being Christmas. The best thing was by far our day cruise as we got out of the way of the majority of other boats to Lan Ha Bay for a peaceful day on the water. Our transfer from Halong to Ninh Binh following the cruise was organised effortlessly by Fantasea, and again great value for money.

The only thing I could comment on was that the sunbathing chairs could use some cushioning.

The short cruise was great fun. Was made to feel very welcome by all staff and guide Peter. The catering was fantastic, I was given multiple dishes to make up for not eating the seafood they were serving. The rooms were decent and good for the night stay we had. Great option if you’re looking for a cheaper option.

Not much relaxing time given but was fine for us. Had to pay for water throughout the trip.
