"Splendid !"

Staff extremely professional and friendly. Food absolutely outstanding and game drives out of this world. Our tracker, Butter, and ranger, Paul were an amazing team and had fantastic drives! This was our 6th visit to Makalali and we will keep on returning as the value for money remains outstanding!

"Perfect. Will be back..."

River Lodge was nice and private, with great animal viewing, even our private room. Staff were great and really went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible. A special thanks to Pilot, Immanuel and Megan.

The lodge, the staff and game drive. The location and the game drive are intime, with few people, so staff are always helpful and nice to you. Then the nature around is incredible

"The lodge was serene but had limited amenities and menu options."

The property it’s in a quiet area, we went there to just relax and see the animals and we were satisfied with that. The restaurant staff was also friendly.

There was no hot water in our room in the mornings, the air-con wasn’t working properly, they came to try fix but the problem was still not solved, there’s no rugs in the room on the floor and it’s extremely cold. Their menu is limited, especially the breakfast with less options, the lunch menu was also limited to a point where everything on the menu was not suitable for my pregnant wife.
