Hotel Morinokaze Hakone Sengokuhara

Klassische Wellness Hirel auf Japanisch. Man sollte sich vor allem als Europäer im Bezug auf Essen Halbpension davor sehr gut informieren ob man immer Fisch essen kann auch in der Früh. Switchen von Fisch zumindest auf vegetarische Kost ist nicht möglich oder nur mit 2 Tagen Vorlauf .Das Hotel hält was es verspricht

Personal nicht besonders zuvorkommend bezüglich des Check ins wir wollten nur 1 Stunde früher ins Zimmer und obwohl das Zimmer wahrscheinlich schon fertig war, durften wir nicht einchecken

The onsen was large, clean and had good lockers. I liked the basket in the room that we could take to the onsen. We did not book dinner beforehand and on the day at check in it was too late. There are no places to eat within a 20 minute walk of the hotel open after 7.30 pm

Would have been useful for an explanation leaflet in English to explain how to use the onsen.

I have problems eating raw seafood, but when I informed the staff ahead of time they were happy to accommodate me. Beyond that, the meals were exceptional, the baths were lovely, and many complementary amenities were provided - even ones I didn't expect, like free ice pops after the bath.

As with many other ryokans, this hotel was not the best for solo travelers. Most ryokans prefer to accomodate at least two people, and their rooms are designed with that in mind. As such, a single traveler usually has to pay the price for two people - if they can book a room at all. I came to this hotel because the price for one person wasn't THAT bad, but I still think I'd have gotten a much better deal (and a room with a better view) if I was able to bring someone else with me.

Beautiful Resort. Staff was very helpful and a few staff members were able to speak English which is a plus. I was offered a welcome drink when arriving for check-in and everything was handled for me. I was given a tour of different parts of the resort while being escorted to my room which I appreciated. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and there were many extras offered in the room like coffee, tea, and treats from the hotel gift shop. The onsens in the hotel were the main attraction, offering an indoor hot bath, as well as multiple open air baths. A cold bath and sauna were also available for use as well. The relaxation room included free ice cream which was a nice bonus. Course meals were given during breakfast and dinner. Everything was delicious. There was a new dish to try for every meal. The staff did an excellent job of explaining what was being served to me. Compliments to the chef as well. Great location if you’re traveling by bus or car. And there’s a konbini located across the street if you’re looking for a late night snack. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful stay at Morinokaze Hakone. The ryokan room was peaceful and beautifully designed, and the staff were extremely kind. The kaiseki meals were excellent, and the onsen — especially the outdoor bath — was incredibly relaxing. A perfect mix of comfort, nature, and authentic Japanese tradition. Highly recommended.
