Plot 188D Lakeside Cabin, Wyldecrest, Millom

I liked the location of the site easy to access other towns. I liked that we could go out in the evening and walk around the area - Haverigg Beach, Millom Beach the nature reserve.

Very very basic and very minimal not worth the price 💰 ❌️🙅‍♀️. The accommodation was difficult to find once on-site even though using the location given by the host. The accommodation has not been looked after very well. Lots of mould on the cushions, curtains. No curtain nets on the windows we had a park in front of us and the bin shed so there were lots of people using this area and we could see outside and they could see inside. The bathroom attached to the big bedroom had a broken window that could not be opened. The sides and corners of the unit were coming away. Lots of chipped crockery. Very basic and very, very, very minimal for the price you pay. No hand soap in bathrooms, no bin liners just the ones in the bins, washing up liquid was provided in a very small container. No cleaning products are available to wipe down the kitchen area and bathrooms. I first thought the bedding didn't have any covers on it because the quality was very poor. We found a Hoover and thought great can Hoover and tidy up after ourselves however that Hoover needs to get checked the smell coming out of it was disgusting 🫣🤢🤮. The TV signal is very poor. The place has no Wi-Fi so I thought that at least we could use the TV now and then, but nope the aerial connection is poor. While the surface of roads on the site itself is good the roads leading into the area are very poor lots of potholes. We also used the washing machine on-site which was very poor 😢. Used the big machine even though my wash was less than 8kg and asked for softener to be added which I paid extra for. I also input my number to get a text when the cycle is done. No message was sent. So I went to the washing machine after an hour. Emptied the washing into the dryer and paid for 30 minutes. Came and got the dried washing out and noticed the washing machine did not wash the clothes properly 😒.

Loved the location and how it was dog friendly. The caravan was clean, tidy and spacious. Everyone we met on the site was super helpful and friendly. Close to shops so you can do a food shop and all the stuff in the kitchen needed to create the meals.

Struggled with the TV channels but wouldn't stop me from booking again.
