Uokagi Ryokan

Owners are very comprehensive and they will help with everything you need, this Ryokan gives you a beautiful experience in a traditional house. Everything is well prepared, the bedroom is good, the bathrooms are really clean and the garden is beautiful!

The room itself was lovely. We had lots of space even with our beds fully laid out. We loved the traditional figurine in the room too, which was there as decoration. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming to us. They were even very encouraging about my attempts at Japanese!

The corridor outside the room smelled of smoke. The toilets had furry seat covers, which were unclean and smelly. I even found a pubic hair in one of the seat covers. The toilet area smelled of urine and made me feel quite nauseous. It needed much more frequent cleaning. The common areas of the ryokan, including the bathroom, had piles of things stacked everywhere, which was quite messy. We ended up cutting our stay short and leaving after one day. The couple was nice enough to refund us in cash for the nights we didn't stay.

The owners were very cordial and the bath is decent for a night's rest. The location was close to the highway but relatively situated in a quiet neighborhood which was perfect for resting.

very nice place. The owners are a cute nice couple! Even if we didn’t speak the same language we manage to understand each other! It was a very nice experience! It’s a little bit far away from the centre, but still better because of that!

The fact that it is a little bit far away from the subway or train station! But not a problem comparing to the experience!
