Ambassador Cruise Halong Bay

It’s a gorgeous cruise with good facilities and staff really puts in a lot of effort to make you feel comfortable. Our room had a balcony and it was nice to sit and soak in the view. Staff had also made special arrangements for vegetarians even for the evening dinner. We were there for Christmas Eve and had a fabulous time!

Halong bay is gorgeous but it’s very touristy! Personally I don’t think it was worth the price we paid for!

Food is great and the bedroom is well appointed and a good size. Great host Camille was the best member of staff and really fun and knowledgable.

Common areas are filthy, wine glasses from the night before not cleared away until after breakfast, excursions are super crowded, all inclusive package sold (distinct from full board and more expensive) but they argued that we should pay for drinks which made for a very bad start to the trip, after much argument they decided not to charge us but this took the whole trip to resolve. Avoid

Highlight was the personal touch by the chef as we had some dietary restrictions

Overall the rooms were not very clean. Staff felt overworked and was rude at times. Also they would not provide clear communication on what is included in terms of food and drinks and what isn't. Because of this we had a few surprises in terms of cost and they were unwilling to be reasonable and a cept they could have better communicated to keep us informed.

Thanks to the management and staff we had an unforgettable experience at Ha Long Bay. I have proposed to my partner on the longest night of the year on the cruise and the staff help me a lot to make it the best plan ever!! They upgraded our room and provide us a lot of extras. The room was one of the best rooms that we ever stayed. The dinner was excellent, it felt like a fine dining restaurant. We enjoyed it with an amazing life soft music and one of the most beautiful view. Thanks to them it was an easy “YES” for me :)

Because we stayed only one night we couldn’t enjoyed the ship as much as we want because the daily activities are one after another and you need to rush a bit to get ready and hop on to the small boats. Which is very normal to organize over 50 people is not easy. I would recommend a 2 night tour to make it the most of this amazing cruise and meals also Ha Long Bay.

The staff and location was very good. The food was awesome and they had multiple options for the guests. Overall a very good experience..

Just inform about the activities timings more clearly in advance so as to avoid any delays.

Accidentally booked the Presidential Suite as it was the last room available and it exceeded my expectations. The room is massive and has a vintage feel, and the size of the balcony was equally impressive. Most of the food was great, staff were so hospitable and the service was amazing. It was one of the best experiences I had in Vietnam. I usually get seasick on cruises but the water is very calm in Halong Bay that it felt as though I was on land. The little trips to the caves, beach, and kayaking were fun. Too bad it was over so quickly after 1 night.

Some of the dishes could've tasted better for dinner but for the most part, everything was great on the trip.
