Its location central to be where we wanted to be. Food at the Hotel Pub was good. River view was lovely.

The carpet was putrid, and full of stains, smelt of dampness, shower tap dripped all night, from what we could see there were no fire smoke detectors. The whole accomodation is very much in need of upgrading, unfortunately we booked on their rating but have since read the reviews going back to 2023 and the issues were there then and it appears nothing has been done since.

Carpet floor covering was absolutely filthy, needed to be replaced. Made the experience of staying in the room very unpleasant. Room overall tired as were facilities. We were unaware at time of booking it was backpackers accommodation.

Basically, for our situation which was arriving late and leaving early it was fine, we have eaten across the road at the Augusta hotel and they do great food. Due to our circumstance, we didn't get that opportunity, everything was easy.

A Great Place just needs some freshness about it e.g. new carpet

Staff were all nice, reception and restaurant/bar.

Room carpet has stains on it and no air conditioning.

Very clean freshly refurbished room, great location, friendly staff and great meal at their restaurant
