Boutique Motel

We stayed here for a night before our Abel Tasman hike and it was absolutely ideal. Derek was super helpful and communicative, even though we had a group arriving earlier than we originally anticipated. The rooms had everything we needed and there were supermarkets, hardware stores and dining/drinking options within walking distance which was perfect because we didn't have a car

Lovely, clean, comfortable accomodation.

Window overviewing scenic mountain. Surrounding not crowded. Manager is very attentive.

There is a nearby bar/cafe giving out very very loud and continuous noice especially from our first evening (a Friday) till the next days

The cleanliness, the entire room and its amenities, the little treats was a bonus. A standout was Derek's immediate rectifying my check-in date just the day before my arrival when I realized that I have incorrectly selected and booked another date.

Beautifully clean. Good parkin. Near Supermarkets. Lovely hosts.

Great place. Owners very nice and our room exceeded our expectations. Very much enjoyed our stay and will def use it again next time we are in Nelson.

Actually, it is not the motel's fault. It is because the motel has an extremely noisy neighbour, named "Turf Hotel", a BAR. It is just on the opposite side of the road. It started with the tremendous noise at 10 pm. I called the noise control of Nelson council. However, it was useless. I stood outside from 10:49 pm to 00:13 am to see if anyone would come to do the noise control job; unfortunately, nobody came. By the way, I have called the noise control 3 or 4 times, and I had the noise records on my phone; it was too loud, especially on quiet weekend nights. It was cold outside, and I couldn't wait any longer, so I had to go back to the room. The window was closed, the door was closed, and I used the duvet to cover my head and ears. I still can hear the very loud and rhythmic drums. Hmmm, they must feel like they are the best. But it is a nightmare for me. They didn't finish until 1:00 am. I don't think it was due to the noise control. It was just because they were tired. I am here not for fun. For my kid and me, we were here for some serious reasons, and we need high-quality sleep to achieve our goal the next day. Unfortunately, it was screwed. I asked about the room's quietness, and the answer was yes. I think the motel didn't realise they had such a neighbour; even the traffic noise can't drown out their noise. In conclusion, the motel is definitely a nice place to live. But you don't know when the noisy neighbour will show them off. For me, it is a red flag. I won't book this motel again if the neighbour is always there.
