Hoshi Ryokan

We had an amazing stay at Hoshi Ryokan and would highly recommend it. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout our stay, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. Our room was absolutely incredible: very spacious, beautifully maintained, and one of the nicest traditional rooms we experienced during our trip. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore most of the village on foot, and having parking right next to the ryokan was very convenient. We booked the half-board option, which included both breakfast and dinner, and the food exceeded our expectations. Every meal was beautifully presented, delicious, and a real highlight of our stay.

We genuinely couldn't find anything to complain about. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and we would gladly stay here again.

El check in era fins les 18h, pero el nostre tren arribava a les 19:30h, despres de consultar-lis van dir que no hi havia problema i fins i tot ens van venir a buscar a la estació! El personal es simplement lo millor! Ens van regalar caligrafia japonesa, l’ofuro era super comode i net, l’habitació era ampla i amb una decoració molt bona, vam jugar al go :)

Res!! Es simplement perfecte, ojala no canviï mai i es mantingui sempre així <3

一言で言うと家族的です。お友達のお家にお泊りに行ったような感じです。懐かしい感じがしました。とても暖かく迎え入れてくれました。建物は昔ながらの旅館ですがリフォームをしてあって、使いやすく工夫してありました。お部屋は畳で、久しぶりに畳の感触を楽しめました。昭和の雰囲気を楽しみたい方にお勧めです！

階段が急なので、年配の方や小さなお子さんがいるご家庭には向かないかも知れません。お風呂が1つで、交代制で入るので繁忙期などは譲り合いが必要になると思います。

Everything. If you want to stay in a traditional japanese ryokan the you will not find a better one than this. The facilities are excellent and so comfortable. We stayed in the 16 tatami room and were wowed at the space, the style and the comfort whilst providing all the necessities for modern day living, e.g. a/c, tv, Internet. We on dinner, bed and breakfast package and we were blown away by the quality and range of dishes we had. The hosts. Keith and family were very gracious and could not be hospitable. Located just a 3 minute walk from the station was the icing on the cake. We would highly recommend Hoshi ryokan without hesitation.

The kind welcome by the host, the thoughtful additions (I won't spoil the surprises!), the exceptional food (one of our hosts prepared fabulous food!). Our room was large and comfortable, with beautiful things to admire. You will be impressed with the Son"s calligraphy! An absolute joy to be welcomed so warmly.

Vriendelijke eigenaresse

Perfectly situated opposite the train station and at the beginning of Tsuwano’s run of historic streets. This house has a lovely vibe about it fusing as it does the beautiful classical Japanese Ryokan architecture and rooms with vibrant, sometimes quite kitsch/ cool decor. Keiko-san and her son were wonderful, generous hosts and the food was great!

It was aaaaall good for me!
