Coonamble Motel

Close to town. Can easily walk into town.

Not sure if I just had bad luck but the shower of the room next door was squealing like a dying cat at over 90dB (my Apple Watch told me it was a noisy environment) - this isn’t something you want to hear at 5am. The fan for my bathroom was extremely loud as well, abnormally loud. If it wasn’t for these two things, I would have given a much higher rating.

Nothing I won’t go back there

It was very poor service from the first moment I got there. The bad quality was poor where they only offered one pillow. There was paper category.

I like everything about the room. It was comfortable, safe & close to shops. It was a 1 minute walk for coffee, which was great.

The young caretakers were friendly and up against it, given the poor state of the place. Not their fault it's been poorly maintained for so long.

I feel for the young couple who are caretaking this motel and had only been there for a month or so. It's been neglected for a very long time. The sliding windows could not be locked, the guy ended up driving screws through the frame to prevent the window from being opened. Toilet seat was broken and just sitting on the toilet, shower frame hanging down. No screens on the toilet window meant bugs coming in all night. Towels were pretty threadbare and stained.
