"Lovely stay, but lots of rules"

8.0

Nice comfortable stay. Lovely lodge, clean and has everything one may need. Hot tub was nice.

Deck under hot tub collapsing. A lot of rules, but I guess they have been burned by guests before to have so many. It would have been nice if they allowed some fishing. My partner was being teased by the fish in the lake.

"Lovely lakeside lodge"

9.0

A beautifully maintained park and lodge: clean, very spacious, well cared-for, and peaceful during week days. Hot tub was well maintained, and the view of the lake and its many inhabitants was lovely. Our sat nav got very confused and sent us in circles until we realised that the park is accessed from the garden centre's service road. Garden centre has a cafe and also sells fancy groceries and has a butchers too.

We didn't expect the long walk on chunky gravel from the car park and arrived after Reception had closed so we couldn't borrow one of their pull-along carts to transport our stuff on arrival. Even with a cart, it's hard going! Car parking is in demand and if you're one of the last in then it can be tricky to find a spot - this could be solved by everyone else parking better though.

"Lovely break"

9.0

Lovely lodge, neatly presented and clean. Had a lakeside view with hot tub which was excellent. Location was very good, short drives to beach and shops/takeaways etc. WiFi worked well for basic uses, which is all we needed and tried.

Would be easier if you could take your car round to the cabin, at least for unloading/loading. Cabins near the car park seemed a little too close together for my liking but we stayed in lodge 21 which was round the corner and has more privacy. Two loo rolls seems a little stingy!

"Visiting my home county, Sussex."

10.0

It's in a quiet area with many places for touring visits all around. The cabins are spread about very well. There is an interesting pond to see. It backs on to Hillier massive garden centre, with all you need for food & drink, at a price.

No pubs within safe walking distance. The local roads are quite narrow without footpaths.
