Welcoming from the start, the property was clean, felt very private, and incredibly warm and cozy. The staff were all so accommodating and the amenities were such a great way to experience the peace of the ryokan experience and the mountains. The tubs available all were very relaxing and the food was a truly special experience. This was a very memorable stay for us.

We stayed in a western room which was absolutely amazing and very luxurious, a real private oasis. It had a private onsen which was heavily used. Additionally, the bigger river-side onsens gave a nice variety. In the common area, there were a wide variety of included amenities like drinks, snacks and sake & wine available for purchase. Last but not least, the dinner and breakfast (included) was of such high quality and a true experience.

There were two things that stood out. First, our shower drain was absolutely full of hair from the previous guests. The whole room was clean as a whistle but this was offputting. They immediately cleaned it once I raised it. Additionally, some of the wooden fencing used around the area and in the river-side onsens were damaged and rotting in places.

wunderschöne Zimmer mit kleinem Onsen auf der Terrasse und 2 öffentlichen Onsen, die man für sich kostenlos privat nutzen kann.

Für die viel gelobte Ryokan Gastfreundschaft fanden wir die Atmosphäre eher kühl und unpersönlich (jeder Hotel check in war herzlicher bisher), die Erläuterungen zur Unterkunft fanden mittels Ipad statt (es gab max 12 Zimmer, also naja). Das Essen war gut, aber wir haben während unserer Reise sowohl Fisch als auch Fleisch in deutlich besserer Qualität gegessen. Spannend fanden wir, dass softdrinks und Kaffee in der Lobby 24/7 kostenlos waren, für ne Cola aus der Minibar oder für den Kaffee zum Frühstück man hätte zahlen müssen. In Summe wars ein entspannter Aufenthalt, allerdings als Gesamterlebnis nicht zu empfehlen
