Mimatsuso Ryokan

Great hosts and traditional breakfast at this place.

Owners were so welcoming, attentive, and lovely. They brought us hot tea and cookies each day when we returned from skiing. There were yucatas for us to wear and the shower and bath were so relaxing. Beds were very comfy and breakfast was a delight.

It was a very homely and cozy experience! It felt like I was at home in a foreign land and the ryokan owners were very warm and kind and made us felt at peace. Thank you Asahikawa, thank you Mimatsuso Ryokan.

The host and his family were great and welcoming, there were little warm welcome drinks, water every day and a great breakfast included. The bath even includes a little bathtub to get an Onsen like experience. Recommend for everyone!

The host family was very welcoming. Very good hospitality.

There were quite a lot of stairs in the ryokan.

Big room with sliding doors to keep people sleeping while hanging out in the living room. Very cute old couple running the place.

I didn’t realize we had no breakfast so I had to go out and be happy with convenience store food. No card payment, only cash

Very homely, simple homemade breakfast that’s reminiscent of what your mom will make, a good sized room, lovely hosts who will greet you whenever you leave for the day, or return back to the ryokan with a welcome tea and biscuits. Facilities are adequate and very lived-in.

Very central to Asahikawa's main food, shopping, night life and train station. The family running it are very helpful, speak some English, and even give you a map. The tatami room was very classic.

Only issue I can think of is that it is not wheelchair accessible.
