"Gorgeous scenery, mouthwatering authentic local food, friendly crew"

The crew / staff on board were so friendly and professional and naturally hospitable. Given you're on a small boat, their demeanor is so important to have a good experience, and we felt they went above and beyond for us. For example, they adapted the menu to our preferences, and the quality of the on board chef's cooking was absolutely spectacular! The scenery that we rode through was stunning, and the captain acted as a sort of guide as well answering our many questions about the local flora, fauna, language, etc.

Honestly, nothing I didn't like that is within their control. For example, there are mosquitos, but they lit incense for us to help keep them away. I would recommend guests being their own bug spray.

We (myself, my husband, and my son) had a great stay at Grand Villa Houseboat! The boat was clean, staff was welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed the cruise, especially the mid-lake docking for lunch. All meals were delicious special mentions of lemon juice, they cooked the lobster-like prawns we purchased in the local market to perfection. The Amrita Ayurveda Massage Center the staff recommended gave us a rejuvenating weekend. We went fishing, a speed boat ride was adventurous, and the music system in the boat gave us extreme fun. The staff gave us all support with utmost privacy! Overall we had a great time! thanks to the staff!

It was one of the best experience we have ever had, and it surprised us. The views are amazing, the boat was very clean and spacious. The crew was very attentive and friendly.

Loved our stay on the grand villa houseboat! From the beginning the owner gave us full information with photos, menus and detailed itinerary which we loved. Very good communication throughout. The staff on board were welcoming and friendly. The boat itself was spotless and it was good to have the whole boat to ourselves. The food was absolutely excellent (so much food!). The backwaters and driving was fantastic and definitely an experience we will not forget.
