Grand Villa Houseboat

Lovely heritage houseboat. Very scenic views of the Vembanad lake. The food was exceptional with a lovely spread in each meal. Very hospitable staff.

The boat is a little old and in need of a little refurbishment.

Very clean, awesome food, good communication and very friendly staff. Also recommended spa was quite good. No unexpected extra costs. Possibility to connect own music with loud speaker. Perfect for relaxing a day!

We did not get the boat we had booked. It was not the Grand Villa. The standard was unfortunately poor.

The standard was very poor and it was not the Grand Villa boat as displayed by the pictures when booking.

I have been on several house boats in Kumar Akon but never stayed in one and this was the first one I stayed. I think personally this was a fantastic experience for my kids and wife. First thing boat was very clean especially bathrooms and bathrooms. Staff was very polite and helpful. Food was the best part and they have typical South Indian lunch with chicken curry,Karimeen( pearl spot) fish fry and fish curry with lot of other items. Dinner was great with chappati, vegetarian curries and also cooked the special prawns I bought on way of our trip.Ac was very cold and wonderful but remember that they only put them during night time when you ready to sleep which did Not bothered me because it was not that hot when the boat is moving.the staff arranged some fishing rod for us to fish which was very nice. The communication from the company ever since I booked was excellent and clear. The company owns more than one boat and you have some options to choose between. I would personally recommend this company because they did exactly what the promised and more. Parking the car was closer to where you finally docked the boat.will go back with them for sure.

I did not have any negative to write about the stay or the experience but would have loved to docked in the vembanad lake during night time but there are some restrictions enforced so don’t mind .

Provided meals were delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall we had an amazing time and got to see the beauty of Kerala backwaters.

The boat could be docked closer to Alappuzha.

we had a wonderful experience with grand villa houseboat we stayed many times in houseboat both kerala and kashmir this was thes best one cleanliness- boat was neat and clean chef- he was a highly professional chef food taste was awesome 5 star quality food staff: they are always at our service very polite professional team location- beautiful location we are greed to visit again grand villa houseboat soon
