Sansuiso Tsuchiyu Spa

Service was perfect and everyone helped with each request efficiently and completely. Onsen was very nice, not crowded and had a beautiful view of the waterfall.. tiaras are worn all over the hotel and to meals which was very relaxing.

Beds are set up during dinner but I asked for them early to rest.

This Japanese ryokan was lovely. The grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious. The onsen hot springs baths were relaxing and clean. The shuttle bus from the train station was appreciated.

There was a bit of a smell from the shower room. We did not use it because we used the onsen but when we opened the door, it had a funny odor.

The view from the room was extremely awful. Instead of a nice mountain view as expected, I mostly saw old parts of the hotel building, and the mountain was very far away and barely visible. Considering the high price I paid, it was absolutely not worth the money. I have traveled to Japan more than ten times, and on every trip I choose to stay at good onsen hotels, so I know what kind of accommodation and experience I should expect for the price paid. I have never had any issues with other places, but this hotel was the only one where I felt the room was extremely overpriced for what it offered.

Just amazing. Great place. Great onsens, great food, great walkable town.

That we didn't stay longer

the view from the lobby and breakfast venue of the japanese garden was beautiful. i loved sitting there and watching the koi fish whilst enjoying a welcome drink. the room was comfortable and the private bath was easy to book and use. the public bath was also great and i loved the view of the fish pond from the open air bath. the dinner was great quality and the alcohol selection was very good, as well as the quality of the breakfast. the service was great and i would love to stay again!
