Tayari Luxury Tented Camp - Mara

Good location for Maasai Mara reserve. They organised safari, hot air ballooning, Maasai village visit etc. Prices are high for what you get compared to other parts of the world but I suppose that's standard in the area and not the fault of the accommodation. We were lucky the place was available when we visited. I would stay there again but I wouldn't say its great value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful, to the best of their abilities. I think any shortcomings lie with upper management and owners who are not on-site.

Food - half the menu was not available. A couple of nights we waited a long time for our meal to arrive despite pre-organising it over 1 hour in advance. The quality of the food that was served was fine though. The selection/choices were adequate but not fantastic. Transport to camp from Nairobi. I tried to get assistance from the management but they replied too late. They did help me on my way back to Nairobi though.

Suelo de madera con huecos por donde entra los insectos. El agua caliente tarda mucho tiempo en salir por lo que hay que malgastar mucha agua hasta que llegue la caliente

Very nice and clean authentic tents. Everything you need is in there. Big and very comfortable. Alex and the rest of the stuff are very friendly. We had a flat wheel and he and others helped us to fix it. Everything you ask for where there. Thank you all very much. We would definitely stay there again.

Tayari Luxury Tented Camp is amazing. Not only its location five minutes from the Sekenani gate of Masai Mara, makes it very comfortable at an incredible price compared to others in the area; but its staff headed by Alex is very competent. They are all very friendly and the attention to detail makes you feel at home. Hot water bottle, beds made and tents cleaned, food well cared for, everything. The owner, Bradson, is very attentive and friendly as well. Masai Mara is expensive but unique, and this proposal of Tayari Luxury Tented Camp is very successful without a doubt.

De tent was ok en schoon.

Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. Geen enkele voorziening en playground voor dochter was er niet. Personeel probeerde er het beste van te maken.

It was close to the Mara. That’s literally it. Some of the staff like the night ranger and the waiting staff were sweet and helpful.

The person at the reception was the most horrible person to come across. Unwelcoming. Cold. Unhelpful. Greedy. He owed us security money which he later claimed he didn’t have, as it was paid via credit card, and offered us some cheap alcohol to compensate. Disgusting and disappointing experience.

In het begin wisten we niet zeker of we goed zaten omdat de poort dicht was met een slot en niemand te bekennen. Gelukkig lag er een ander kamp langs wat voor ons gebeld heeft. Eenmaal binnen voelde we ons erg welkom bij. De heren aanwezig waren gastvrij, de sandwich voor ontbijt was heerlijk. Erg mooie tent op een mooie locatie.

Niets, als we toch iets moeten noemen is het erg jammer dat er her en der op het camp afval ligt. Dit zijn voornamelijk lege plastic flessen en soms wat ander plastic afval. Naast dat dit op het camp ligt, ligt er ook veel bij de hekken/erfafscheiding. Dit terwijl je midden in de natuur zit grenzend aan masai Mara. Tip: bel bij de poort hangen.
