Riad Assakina

Riad Assakina is the perfect oasis hidden among the crazy streets of the Marrakesh Medina. It is situated in the Jewish quarter ( Mellah) and walkable to the crazy main square and souks. Return from a busy day to a quiet haven. Sip mint tea ( or a bevvy) , nibble a sweet homemade something for afternoon tea. Yummy breakfasts on the terrace. Michele and Grant were the perfect hosts. Every detail given considerable thought with wonderfully attentive staff and impeccable taste in decoration. We only wished we could have stayed longer and will highly recommend for anyone travelling to Marrakesh.

As property hosts ourselves, there was absolutely nothing we could fault this beautiful Riad with.

Once you walk through the door, you instantly realise you have reached a place of unrivalled calm. All areas of the Riad have been spectacularly restored, with great attention to detail particularly in the bedrooms and breakfast on the roof terrace is the perfect start to the day, all the staff were 110% attentive and could not do enough for us.

Nothing...just wished we could have stayed longer.

Secure secluded central and everything else as well. Michelle the host couldn’t do enough to help.

Michele and her staff provide an incredibly friendly and hospitable experience. Nothing was too much bother and always willing to help with anything from airport transfers, to suggestions on where to shop, eat and visit - either locally or further afield. The breakfast and afternoon teas were great; our room and the communal areas were all very comfortable; convenient, safe and peaceful location 5-10 mins walk from many attractions. Can't fault anything or anyone!

Michelle and Grant are perfect hosts, giving you a warm welcome and a lot of information about Marrakech. They also shared a bit of their story in Marrakech and about the Riad. Their place is exceptionally beautiful, decorated by the host Michelle with so much care and attention to detail. Breakfast was amazing, all fresh products cooked daily by the lovely housekeepers. One of them also bakes fantastic cakes. Just perfect.

We loved our stay at Riad Assakina. We booked to stay in the suite which was a huge room, with a really comfortable, large bed. The attention to detail from the design / decoration to the helpful add ons to enhance your holiday (hair dryer, canvas bag for shopping to save on all the plastic bags given out at the souks) make this Riad a really special place to stay. The team at Riad Assakina is fantastic and it really feels like they want to make sure you have the best possible trip in Marrakech. The communication from the moment of booking was excellent and informative and the check-in was perfect - providing lots of information of the area, places to eat etc. The team at Riad Assakina also have an amazing guide book in your room which provides tons of really helpful information about Marrakech, shopping, tours, places to eat and drink which we referred to regularly during our stay. The team truly go above and beyond and this really helps make this wonderful stay a really sublime stay. We would highly recommend Riad Assakina to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Nothing - it was all perfect!

The location was convenient to the median (main old town square).

The host (owner) had a peculiar personality- which made us feel uncomfortable. The host charged a $$$$ rate for bottled water. The rest of the staff was lovely. All things considered - I am not sure that I would stay at the Riad Assakina. Morocco is amazing……
