River Coquet Luxury Hot Tub Retreat

Lovely rural location. The lodge was clean and comfortable. Nice little welcome basket.

WiFi didn't work, contacted the host who referred us to the password in the info pack. Still didn't work and no response from the host the second attempt to address this. We had a young child who naturally wanted to watch TV when we weren't out and about however without WiFi we were limited to Freeview channels. The outdoor furniture cushions had been left out and it had rained heavily before our arrival therefore we couldn't enjoy using the verandah during our stay.

Everything was great

gorgeous holiday home, love the decor it’s literally a home away from home. Very clean, the hot tub is a great bonus! Love the welcome chocolate and bottle of bubbly….fabulous hosts! Ash was quick to respond to any questions I had. The site itself is fab and the club house is great, we visited Saturday / Saturday night and the walk home with our flashlights was hilarious…after a few bevvies! The golf course is decent and another added bonus to the stay. Thanks again for having us, can’t wait to book again.

Good communication from the owner. The property was clean and in a very peaceful location.

Taxi companys that we phoned said it was too far to pick up, however, as we were only there a couple of days this wasn't too much of an issue

Lovely, modern lodge on a very pleasant, quiet site. Lots to do and see in the area. Great hot tub with good privacy. Owner easily contacted and responsive. Welcome pack of Malteasers and wine was a nice touch. Tea, coffee and sugar provided. Kitchen well kitted out. Lodge was toasty warm despite cold temperatures outside.

Receiving instructions on how to get to the lodge and how to access it was not straightforward. I expect this is an issue with Booking.com rather the owner. Wifi did not work and no offer to fix it despite highlighting the problem. Lodge not as clean as I'd hoped - lots of dog hair on the bedding , furniture and on the floors. Also marks and human hair inside the bedding was off-putting. We did wonder if the sheets hadn't been changed after the last guests. We were a group of three female friends and booked the lodge knowing there was 2 double beds and a sofa bed but it was disappointing when we were told we would have to pay extra for the bedding for the sofa bed. In my opinion, if you advertise the lodge as having a third bed, the use of it should be included in the deal. It's like charging extra to use the kettle! I wouldn't book this lodge again but I would definitely return to the area.

The whole place was fab, lovely clean place to stay.
