Abalone Resort

Difficult to find but what a GEM! Our trip to Bali was delayed by 24 hours because of bad weather so we spent only one short night here, instead of the two we booked. What a pity! Because the place is wonderful. Amazing views, wonderful gardens. The rooms are nicely decorated and our balcony was a terrific quiet spot with view of the ocean. Owner and personnel do all they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. A true diamond!

tasty breakfasts, massages and beauty treatments on our deck at good prices. Friendly staff. Asked for coconut water and obliging staff promptly climbed tall coconut tree and delivered fresh drink much to my surprise :) Lovely views of coast at affordable price.

unfortunately weather changed some flooding but staff helped out well. Some coastal inundation but land dried out quickly. Staff were great, providing umbrellas etc.

Simple breakfast, very nice. Kindly served at my bungalow which was appreciated. Very comfortable bed.

The property was too far away from the town so I didn't get to explore Candidasa.

Directly located by the beach, beautiful garden with pool, nice pool/beach bar. Staff very helpful, helped me book ferry to Lombok for the next day.

An unrivaled view from the Superior room - sunrise over the sea, quiet, secluded, not luxuriously furnished, but in a tastefully preserved balinese style and everything provided for a convenient and relaxed stay ; very good breakfast by the sea; well maintained garden in balinese style, which we loved; impecably clean; large enough pool to chill but also to swim. Although not luxurious, it offers the best of quality stay - homeliness, tranquility, cleanliness, the impression to be all on your own. We could arrange hassle-free to celebrate our private occasion, including special breakfast by the pool, flowers, and balinese massage. We just loved it, and all words seem to come too short.

Calm, quiet, ocean views, sound of the waves to wake up to good kitchen with European food options. Clean pool and room, nice sunbeds on the balcony. AC was leaking one night and it got fixed the next morning. Super friendly owners. Few rooms and a lot of space in the garden, so it feels semi-private 👍

The last 100m of the road leading to the resort are super rocky, but no big deal. Kitchen closes at 730pm.

Everything about Abalone Resort was perfect. Quiet and relaxing location, however, well placed for day trips. Resort owners, Marion and Dodi, are welcoming, kind, and helpful as can be. Excellent restaurant and bar, fabulous pool and gardens, loved this 5-day stay.

We like out of the way places that are quiet and no frills. This hotel ticked all the boxes. It is in a quiet, locals part of Bali, on a small black sand beach where you can watch the local families bringing in their fishing nets. The bar/ cafe looks out over the beach and the sunsets were gorgeous. The food was nice too, and very reasonable. They also have a laundry service. We had an upstairs deluxe room and that had a super covered veranda with sunbeds. The visiting massage lady was excellent, and a bargain price. The hotel organised a very good driver for a day out, and a transfer to the airport. Virgin beach is very nice, and about 15 minutes drive away. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and I think it is a good place for a few days to see a different part of the island.
