I have stayed at Parkside Inn years ago and it was great. We were going to stay on August 9-11 at Parkside again, but when we got there to register at 4:30 pm on 8/9 the whole town, Inn, and most of Door County was without electricity and dark. The Inn had no AC, hot water, lights, TV or internet and no generator to help with power. We talked to the owner and she was very reluctant to give us a refund for that night and wanted us to stay even though we were not checked in and not in the room. After talking to her again, she reluctantly agreed to give us the downpayment refund, but so far on 8/24 she has not fulfilled her agreement with us. I have asked Booking.com to help me with the refund.

Great price during the week, friendly receptionist, spotless room, comfortable room which was a nice size. In June the room had a physical key, and this time, it was a code I punched in on the keypad which is nice. The breakfast options were better this time too - larger cups for coffee, fresh fruit, and delicious muffins.

It was quiet

There was a leaking toilet, or something in the bathroom and water was coming out from under the bathroom tiles. We were not offered a different room, or cleanup of our room.

Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the location was perfect.

The fan in the shower/toilet room was pretty loud.
