Hiouchi Motel

The location to the Smith River and swimming plus the Big Sequoias was great.

We could hear the people talking next store until midnight. You are right on the main road so lots of traffic noise. And it was expensive. You are paying for location to the above. You could stay in Crescent City 10min away for a third of the price for a similar level motel. There is a good diner next store for breakfast/lunch or early dinner. And a gas station/grocer across the street. I would stay again, try and get an end 2nd floor room.

Close to Jedediah Smith.

A bit of traffic noise, mattress was pretty squeaky, couldn’t get the television to work for quite a while. I had to get help from the front desk.

It was just off the highway, clean and friendly

The cafe closes in the afternoon and I had to drive into crescent city for dinner. The bed is t great either

We enjoyed the fire pit and smores. The restaurant had a yummy breakfast!

Convenient location.

The property was dated. The grounds need some TLC. The hotel was surrounded on one side by a storage facility. The other side RV parking.
