Sandy Balls Holiday Village by Away Resorts

We love the forest but Sandy Balls isn't anything like it used to be when privately owned

Very poorly staffed considering the time of year

Booked close to our stay and had a luxury caravan and heartwood lodge as there were 7 of us. Accommodation just a short walk from each other, so very convenient, especially in the rain. Plenty of space in lodge to all be together to eat, and kids to play, without being on top of each other. Swimming pool, softplay and evening children's entertainment helped when raining. Close to Moors Valley. Saw the play areas but no time use.

Everything was great, but lodge was right next to facilities - bar/restaurant so imagine it would be noisy in the summer with tge lobfg evenings.

Location and surroundings

No WiFi in the units and lack of phone signal

It was clean and spacious and quiet

Was missing towels and handwashing as didn’t know that u need to bring them if u get a less expensive place

Food was very mediocre staff rude

I thought the breakfast was excellent, the sausages particularly were great. I also liked the coffee, and the choices that we were given. Overall a good breakfast.

I thought everything was great, I particularly liked the way that the holiday camp was maintained, with some nice features, i enjoyed my work trip stay very much.

Loved the whole woodland areas so peacefully and quiet staff are so friendly and welcoming just love everything about sandy balls

Love the restaurant but needed more choices

The property was easy to find. We liked how big the property was.

The breakfast was great really enjoyed it great to walk around and the weather was great for this time of year
