Gili T Sugar Shack

It was lovely and not too far from the beach which is perfect and peaceful. It was really good that the staff arrange the bikes for us at the hotel with pick up and drop off.

The room was quite small for us as a couple. So we could not unpack a lot of our stuff.

Stanza grande, ottima la cabina armadio e il balconcino. Staff gentilissimo.

Stanze molto buie di sera (due lampadine erano fulminate); doccia con poca acqua. Per quanto riguarda la posizione: la struttura è vicinissima alla via principale dell'isola ma di sera la strada è totalmente buia, e sebbene non penso vi siano pericoli effettivi, non è piacevole rientrare col buio, abbiamo avuto un po' paura.

Where to start, the property was beautiful, situated a 10-15 minute walk from the main strip of shops/restaurants. The facilities were fantastic, with the ONLY drawback of our entire stay being that the toilet did not flush properly (however this was quickly rectified). The room was lovely, the air con worked beautifully, the bed was more comfortable than my bed back home by a country mile, and the balcony was lovely to relax on after a long day! Arguably the best thing about our stay in this accommodation was the staff, unfortunately I didn’t get the lads name, but he was absolutely fantastic, very attentive, very professional but also very chatty and smiley! Also notes that he dealt with some other very rude/entitled customer incredibly well and continued to smile throughout. The breakfast (cooked by said lad) was also lovely, especially the banana pancakes. All in all, an amazing stay, could not possibly recommend it more to anyone who’s thinking of staying here and will 100% stay again if and when we come back to Gili T!

Super Unterkunft und nettes Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert

The 2 guys who have been the staff of the property during our stay have been doing a great job. Although they were new, probably not having had anything explained to them by the owner on how to run and maintain the property, despite this desperate situation they found themselves in, they took care of us and the other guests very warmly and attentively and tried their best to keep the property running. Well, and the beds have been very comfortable.

To start with the description of the accommodation: A villa/house is "a single-unit residential building". Although I was aware of this before, I would like to note that the description of booking a "One-Bedroom Villa" is at least very misleading. It's rather an ordinary hotel room, at most a "One-Bedroom in a Villa". Consequently, of course, there was no "Private entrance", as the description says. There was no "Wine/champagne for guests" either, but I didn't care about that. The really negative points, however, were the following - and even more since several of these were already criticized in several reviews at the beginning of October, but apparently were not found necessary to fix: - Clogged sink drain - After a few seconds, exclusively boiling hot water from the sink faucet - Already slightly clogged toilet at the beginning, which got worse - Drain under sink faucet not cleaned for a very long time - No towel rack on terrace, contrary to advertised pictures - Safteybox out of order - On the second to last day the pool has died and turned green - rooms were not cleaned - garbage can was not emptied - breakfast was also not up to the advertised standard Of course, I did not note these points during my stay because otherwise they would have tried to fix the shortcomings the entire time, making the stay even more unpleasant. Most of it is simply self-evident. Again, the two new staff did their best to make the best of what was probably a hopeless situation even for them. Even though it is certainly not an easy situation that the previous manager simply left and in the course of this also the remaining staff, this had been known to the owner for several weeks by now, and perhaps she should face up to her responsibility and temporarily ensure order herself.

It was really calm and clean

모든 것이 좋았어요. 그중 따뜻하고 친절한 줄리아의 환대가 가장 좋았어요. 줄리아가 만들어주는 맛있고 다양한 정성스런 조식이 엄청 고마웠어요. 아름다운 길리에 특벨한 곳. 다음 기회에도 꼭 방문하고싶은 곳입니다.

처음 찾아가기가 좀 힘들었지만 지내는동안 아쉬운게 없어졌어요
