Bagh Serai by Alaya Stays

Best part of the resort was the staff. They were very helpful and courteous. Did their best to make our stay pleasant. Rooms were sufficiently big with a porch and all basic amenities except refrigerator. It is located in an isolated place. So it was quite and in the morning one can go on walk in the neighbouring fields. The swimming pool was not fitted with the water filtering system. However, it was sufficiently well maintained. Food was good. Although, not much options but preperation was good.

It was a long weekend and the resort was full to it's capacity. However, the staff was short. That led to waiting for even small things in the restaurant. There was an option of private pool but that was not ready. Staff said that whenever we want. They can make it ready. There was no refrigerator in room. It was 18 km away from Sawai Madhopur. So if you have to buy anything, you have to drive to the city.

rooms were spacious and bathrooms were excellent. The private pool was a great add on, though could be maintained better. The room appointments and ventilation was great!

Bed linens were not up to the mark at all. Major minus point. The open Grassy pond patch needs to be better maintained, and the tall grasses need to be better kept. the spot will look a lot more amazing if the rooms get a good view of the hillocks in the background FOOD was pathetic, to be honest. here goes - Cold coffee was not cold coffee. It was just sweetened milk with a little coffee UNEVENLY measured in 2 small sized glasses. We only ate a-la-carte - Cheese Sandwich, French Fries, Chilli Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, Chilli Paneer, Veg Cutlets. apart from the cheese sandwich which was average, everything else was way below average.

The hotel is superb, in perfect harmony with nature and what I was looking for when I came here. As soon as I arrived, I was very well received, and what a wonderful surprise when I arrived at my room: surrounded by plants, there is a small terrace with a view of a small lake and the garden, it is decorated with beautiful furniture and fabrics reminiscent of safari and animals. The bathroom is large with beautiful stones, it gives access to a patio with another shower and a small swimming pool!!! It's great for relaxing and cooling off after a safari, with the song of the many birds, it's ideal! Moreover, the manager takes care of everything for your safaris, it was perfect, I had the chance to see the tigers, unforgettable moments. I took all my meals at the restaurant: the menu is varied and the dishes are delicious, the chef adapts to your requests, if you want more or less spicy. Besides, the vegetables come from the adjoining vegetable garden, it's very fresh like that! The service is impeccable, smiling and very pleasant, it is a pleasure to eat there, the decoration of the tables and the room are very good and the terrace is perfect for eating. In the gardens of the hotel, there are plenty of places to relax and even bicycles to ride around. I recommend this place, you can go there with your eyes closed...! What is certain is that I will return, Thanks again to all the staff at Bagh Serai, I had a great stay!

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave!

the property is remote. by remote i dont mean difficult to reach or a lot of offroading. by remote i mean its not situated amidst other resorts and hotels or right in the middle of the town. and due to this it feels so peaceful and quite. perfect for people who just want to enjoy quite and a private time with family or alone. kudos to the staff : omprakash(caretaker) goes out of his way to make sure your demands and requests are met to the last thing with support from ashok, dharamraj, dharam, kailash and hansraj(head chef). your are treated to all sorts of cuisine u wish to it all prepared from their own organic produce and they are more than happy to accommodate any speacial requests that you may have in terms of food. summers are coming njoy the dip in their pool alongside drinks and snacks and enjoy the sunset from machan they have installed with seating arrangements. folk dance performances also available at the property. njoy your stay

nothing . it was just awesome

The location of the resort is great as it's away from the town ,so for someone looking for some quiet time it's a great place to stay. The staff is polite and a special mention for Kailash and O.P who were always there to help make our stay comfortable.

The food could have been better. No complaints about the food as it was good ,but they can improve on their menu ,and maybe add some more of the local cuisine.
