Mecca Motel

There was no breakfast. We went out to eat at a great place, The owners are great people. We love staying there. The rooms are allways nice and clean.

Really cant think of anything we didnt like.

Have stayed here twice last summer a was very relaxing a the view was nice also. Will stay there again soon if they will have us. The restaurant done the street had great breakfast . Being a 49er fan we struck up a conversation pretty fast lol. Talking about the owner a myself. They have had this hotel in the family for years a just a very nice couple!!

We truly enjoyed staying at the Mecca Motel! This old school roadside motor lodge style motel is a great value. Location was perfect for us, about .50 miles from Garden of the Gods, which we hiked and walked a couple of days. It is just a couple of miles from Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City/Colorado Springs area, with lots of local shops and restaurants, a few within easy walking distance. The hotel is updated and immaculately clean, very well maintained. Comfortable and secure, our room was cleaned and refreshed every day, with fresh towels and bed made. We felt like honored guests! And our room was up at the end of the row, so it was pretty quiet, no road noise at night. The pool and spa were still open in mid September while we were there, I have not seen a cleaner spa! Or pool. Everything was in excellent working condition, with thoughtful touches like lots of pool furniture and picnic tables to use, planters with beautiful flowers and the spotlessly clean parking lot. It showed how much care the owners put into their property. And they are welcoming, nice people who were clearly locals, and had recommendations about local places to eat and events that were happening that weekend. They keep coffee going all day in the reception area as another bonus, it was nice to pop in and get a cup to start the day. The motel was a comfortable spot to come back to every day, after exploring the towns and area. Highly & enthusiastically recommended!

The king bed, although comfortable, was a little “bouncy” so if you sleep with a person who’s an active sleeper (moves around a lot), you do feel the bed move. Also the neighboring room occupant could be heard if they slammed a dresser drawer (or the door to the room!), but not too disrupting. And that’s not the owners fault, just sometimes people aren’t considerate!

Quiet, comfortable, easy check-in/check-out... got pretty much exactly what we expected, and we like that. Also like that the property owners run the place, not some big chain that dictates everything about it. They seem to really care and take real ownership of this place.

Honestly, the only slight hitch was the entrance to the property kind of sneaks up on you, and it's a kind of narrow entrance. I literally have nothing really bad to say about this place.

Perfect location for our activities. The owners were so nice and keep everything immaculate! It’s not new or fancy but very well cared for and clean.
