Figtree Cottage - Homestay - Yeppoon

My husband I loved the outdoor area to enjoy a wine and cheese platter at night and again for our beautiful breakfast. Time in the spa was amazing also.

Everything was perfect.

Gorgeous home and lovely hosts. Made us feel really welcome and we’re super accommodating when I required extra space for an online meeting. Use of the outdoor hot tub was an excellent plus!

The window in the room only had a veil over and no curtains / blinds so the sun woke us up very early, luckily we had sleep masks so we’re able to go back to sleep. I think this could be a very easy fix with some curtains :) The rooster was very noisy early on but still the chickens were nice to see around the property and we were offered fresh eggs so can’t complain, bring ear plugs!

The owner was so wonderful in every way. She helped and reimbursed me for my cancelled stay and even paid a little extra for my back up accommodation. The place was so peaceful, clean and inviting - a reflection of the owners' persona.

The room was not ensuite. It had a shared bathroom. You had to walk through the kitchen dining area to bathroom. I am unsure if any of the rooms are ensuite. The room we had stated private bath—-unsure what that means. I interpreted it as pvt ensuite as with the previous bookings on booking.com Very noisy if there are folks in kitchen dining area.

Whats not to like !!!Sarah and Clint have this little oasis nestled amongst the trees on the edge of Yeppoon that simply ticked all our boxes. Location, comfort, country quiet, sounds and sights nature, the smells of fresh ground coffee beans, home baked bread and the temptation of a relaxing jacuzzi to end the day all with the superb service you only get from true professionals. Attention to detail and warm friendly smiles greeting you on arrival, they will make your stay a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend the Queen room, outstanding..

Absolutely nothing. We were there for our son's wedding and thought initially the distance from the centre of town and the rest of our families would be a problem and almost rebooked closer but it's only a few minutes and was no problem whatsoever so if you think it's too far out of town, it's not and so not worth missing out on this gem.

The location is a short distance and an easy drive from Yeppoon itself, and situated just off the road in a delightful garden setting. The cottage accommodation is separate but attached to the main house, so the large kitchen and dining area is shared (if desired) and the private bathroom is off that area. The room is spacious and comfortable, with high quality bedding, robes, and towels. Though we didn't use the spa, it was heated and ready for our use. Great wifi, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, own fridge...and Sarah has thought of all the amenities necessary and provides some yummy and much appreciated treats.
